According to a study conducted by CaMLA, the MELAB passing standards recommended by the stan- dard setting panel are comparable to the NCSBN-endorsed TOEFL passing standards. NCSBN recommended an overall cut score of 560 on the TOEFL PBT, 220 on the TOEFL CBT and 84 on the TOEFL iBT. A minimum speaking score of 26 was advised on the TOEFL iBT. The findings from the study suggest that the NCSBN recommendations on the PBT, iBT and CBT all fall within the same score range. As shown in Ta- ble 4, the score range corresponds to a MELAB score range of 78-81. NCSBN Board of Directors (BOD) Deliberation The NCSBN Board of Directors (BOD) reviewed and discussed results from the MELAB standard setting workshop.

So, something like a sexual abuse case, or fraud, or theft, drug diversion, we would not advise folks to do the Complaint Evaluation Tool for that. But this tool, when the board developed it, they went out across the state, they did an extensive amount of information placed on our website to train employers and board staff in the use of the tool and in the just culture philosophy. And the second page of the tool has mitigating factors and aggravating factors that we most commonly see. And I'll talk a little bit about that a little bit later.

There are contact information for all the investigators or the discipline contacts in the various jurisdiction specific to Operation Nightingale. Instead of you having to go down the list trying to figure out, "Who do I need to talk to in Massachusetts, or who do I need to call in California," it's all there for you. You don't have to hunt for it. It's right there on the website. Oh, I went back one. I apologize. We also have the Application Fraud Toolkit that's on the website that you can download. It's got a number of items on there that I think would guide you, again, not duplicating the ICRS course, but different information I think would be helpful.

So, with one of the goals being to measure clinical judgment, we knew that we'd have to devise some new item types of which you'll find references to on our website and we've done a number of webinars, but we knew that we were going to have to introduce new item types to be able to measure clinical judgment. But we also knew that introducing those would allow us a significant opportunity to expand the range of measurement for all of the knowledge and skills, not only just for a clinical judgment.

That being said, we are always looking for volunteers, and I'm going to put a plug out there for people to sign up to come in and...well, I say come in, eventually, we may be back to onsite, but right now we are virtual and holding virtual writing panels. And in order to do that, you can put your information on NCSBN's website to become what we call a subject matter expert, or an SME, and write items for NGN and/or NCLEX. So these options are available, and we are always looking for people to come. And it's a great learning session and opportunity for an educator to do this. - That's great news.
