So over the next 20 minutes or so, I'm going to give us some insights into where we might look for additional contributions in terms of how we expand our thinking. So, in the past, I have often cited American presidents. And being in the land of Lincoln, I thought I would visit some of the works that Lincoln had said. I've lent on work from Kennedy and Reagan. I've even used British prime ministers such as Churchill, and also, from time to time, great philosophers. But really, let's look a little bit at something, though, which initially you might think, "Oh, I'm not very sure about that."

And that's an impediment. - And, you know, I want to talk about too, when we talk about at the state level licensure, 39 states, and we're on the verge of 40, have passed the nurse licensure compact. And surely that has to be of assistance to you with having facilities across 26 states. The Nurse Licensure Compact allows a nurse to care for patients. Either telephonically, digitally, or physically on one license, one multistate license, instead of having to get multiple licenses in every one of those states. And in this day and age, more and more patients are seeking care across a state line.

The literature review also identified three conditions, included in Appendix B, that are supported by a single moderate- to high-quality clinical study: ⦁ Reduction of seizure frequency (Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome) ⦁ Reduction of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) nightmares ⦁ Improvement in tics (Tourette syndrome) The conditions listed above require additional study to verify the findings of the current studies.

So, right off the bat, this sets a good baseline understanding of comparable year-to-year of patient safety. With baseline patient safety confirmed, we now turn our attention to the survey results themselves. The overall survey response rate was approximately 14%, with a total of 17,000 APRN respondents located across 26 states. The subsample for this three-state analysis consisted of 1,212 APRN respondents. On average, respondents were 50 years old and predominantly female and white non-Hispanic. Ninety- two percent indicated they were actively engaged in direct patient care.
