Cup in which the urine is produced has an embedded temperature in the cup. It's up to the collector, which is one of the weak points in urine drug screening because collectors are usually entry-level, minimum-wage employees and not that there's anything wrong with that, but they're not professionals. The transition of collectors at collection sites is huge, but the collector is obligated within 10 minutes to read the temperature.

    So, here we have an example of bringing a clinical situation to the classroom. The students meet Tim, our fictional patient that aligns with that day's theory topic. The patient is presented early in class to set the stage and then the situation unfolds at key points throughout the lectures. This breaks up the class where students have an opportunity to practice or rehearse what they just learned. According to information processing theory, active learning, intention, and engagement helps to make learning more permanent.
