I am very happy to be here to present our last session today, which will highlight two NCLEX testing processes, testing security and testing accommodations. My name is Jacklyn Currier. I am the Operations Manager in the Exams Department at NCSBN. Myself, along with the operations team, monitor the administration of the NCLEX, ensuring the fair and secure delivery of the exam. By the end of today's session, you will be able to discuss NCLEX security measures, define the NCLEX accommodation process, and identify some common accommodation requests. For the first NCLEX process, I will go over testing security and the measures put in place for the NCLEX.

I am a nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in nursing, most recently for the past seven years in test development. Today, we are going to discuss an overview of NCLEX exam development. NCSBN promotes patient safety and public protection through the NCLEX exam, which is both fair and comprehensive, entry- level and reflective of current nursing practice. The NCLEX measures minimum competency of the entry-level nurse. To this end, the entry-level nurse must demonstrate a passing score, which is an indication of the ability to provide basic nursing care safely.

Four of the survey forms contained 25 activity statements each and two survey forms contained 26 activity statements. Utilizing such a design ensured that every activity statement appeared on two survey forms. Except for the activity statements unique to each survey form, the surveys were identical. Survey Process Sample Selection A sample was randomly selected from the candidates who successfully passed the NCLEX-PN® examination from April 15, 2020 through Feb. 15, 2021.
