    But it only receives about 45 applications a year. Compare that to about the 3,000 people who want to become a lawyer in Ontario every year, the 4,000 engineering applicants, the 9,000 teaching applicants, the 10,000 would-be real estate agents, and the little over 12,000 26-year-old nursing applicants. And assuming that those 12,000 nursing applicants are no different than any other 26-year-olds and no different than other medical, dental, or law students, wow, that's going to be a lot of work. And because we already have a sense on what we will find, we have to ask ourselves, is it even worth checking?

    Review of literature: A literature review was conducted to identify the issues and trends cited in the literature as well as research in nursing education (Attachment A). The themes identified in the literature include growth of nursing education programs; challenges with the quality of prelicensure programs and RN to BSN programs; clinical site shortages; distance education issues; and fraudulent programs. Upon review, the committee members acknowledged that the literature, and particularly the research, is limited in identifying pertinent regulatory trends and issues. To further explore these issues and trends, the education consultants at the Boards of Nursing were surveyed. 2.

    For 13 years, he provided a guiding framework for innovations in exam delivery, test security, and exam integrity. His influence shaped numerous NCLEX enhancements, including successfully transitioning the exam to a computerized adaptive format. Tony also worked with NCSBN to ensure NCLEX test site availability during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping maintain the nursing workforce pipeline during the global health crisis. He played a pivotal role in expanding the NCLEX into Canada and provided strategic support for the successful launch of the next-generation NCLEX.
