The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Additionally, almost every nurse, including primary care nurses, case managers, transport nurses, school and hospice nurses, among many others, needs to routinely cross state boundaries to provide the public with access to nursing services, and a multistate license facilitates this process. We've got five letters, two letters, three letters, three letters. Well, I'm a fan of the methodical approach, right? I studied math. I'm pretty into listing all the different possibilities. But, of course, here I've got 13 boxes. Each one can have up to 26 choices. So, if I took a methodical approach to this, and I wondered how long my list would have to be to try to guess this thing, well, it would be 26 to the 13th power. And for those of you who didn't just compute it in your head, it's about 2.5 quintillion.
