Due to COVID-19, the RN knowledge survey was conducted in 2021. 2022 | Exams Research Report of Findings from the 2021 LPN/VN Nursing Knowledge Survey This study identifies the knowledge needed by newly licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPN/VNs). The results of this study (i.e., the important knowledge statements) will be used to inform item development.

And the first change is 6.1.2, required criteria for pre-licensure nursing education programs. And the proposed change is, out of state programs who want clinical placements must inform the Board of Nursing in the state. And the rationale is to inform boards of nursing of out of state programs, using their clinical sites, and to provide direction on approving those out of state programs using clinical sites. Our next change involves section 6.1.2, required criteria for pre-licensure nursing education programs. And this was an addition, and that's in A.3. International clinical experience used to meet direct care clinical hours shall be approved in advance by the Board of Nursing.

Extended Test Site Hours Pearson VUE has extended and continues to extend operational hours at many test sites. The goal is to identify the sites that are in most demand for appointments, and work to extend days/hours for those most in need.
