Once the candidate signs their name and agrees to the candidate rules, the TA will proceed with the administration process. At this point, the candidate will need to present their ID for review. All forms of identification must be valid and meet the following requirements: Physical. Something tangible and completely intact that you can hold. Non-digital. Non-expired. Government issued. Includes your name in Roman characters. Includes a recent photograph. And includes your signature. Depending on test center's locations, candidates need to present specific acceptable ID types. At domestic test centers, examples of acceptable IDs are passport books or cards, a driver's license or a permanent resident card.

And as you can see, everybody was concerned about clinical sites, and preceptors, and nurse practitioner programs were particularly concerned. Had the largest issue with clinical sites of all of our colleagues. Almost 95% of them were concerned about clinical sites. So there wasn't really much room to go to 100%.

This is because an APRN must have either an active RN license or an active RN multi-state license to obtain and retain APRN recognition. We quickly realized the power of Nursys and wanted to leverage this system for better customer service. We worked with the Nursys team and our association to host webinars focused on Nursys e-Notify. Then in 2010, we eliminated actual license cards for license renewal, and then stopped issuing license cards for initial licenses in 2015. This was designed to push customers to Nursys. We wanted customers to only verify licenses through Nursys. After all, a license card is only good the day it's issued.
