The fundamental goals are to promote better consumer care across professions and competent providers, improve access to care and recognize the inevitability of overlapping scopes of practice. NCSBN established the Center for Regulatory Excellence Research Program in order to provide grants for research projects that promote NCSBN’s mission to advance regulatory excellence for public NCSBN raised the passing standard for the NCLEX-RN® examination in response to changes in U.S. health care delivery and nursing practice that have resulted in the increased acuity of clients seen by entry-level RNs.

Any patient information that a nurse has access to during the course of treatment must be safeguarded. With very limited exceptions, such information may only be disclosed to other members of the healthcare team for the purpose of providing care for the patient. Improper use of social media by nurses may violate state and federal laws. Including the health insurance portability and accountability act or HIPAA. Which was enacted to further protect the patient privacy.
