Viewers witness that in the case of Ms. Campbell, the delegation process was in jeopardy from the start. However, viewers also learn that there were numerous points at which the downward spiral could have been halted. Reestablishing the delegation process at any one of these points could have averted disaster. Accompanying learner activities include discussion questions regarding the video. This and other activities assist the instructor in exploring the gray areas of delegation learners and help them evaluate their delegation skills.

Although there have been some small changes in gender, race and ethnicity statistics, it is evident that the nursing workforce does not reflect the diversity of the U.S. population. Males account for 9.4% of the RN workforce, an increase of 0.3 percentage points since 2017. For LPNs/LVNs, males account for 8.1% of the population, an increase of 0.4 percentage points since 2017. For the first time in 2020, a third gender response option of “other” was added to the survey and was selected by 0.1% of respondents.
