A Policy Committee member will share quick tips and tricks on how to access resources at your fingertips. In this session, we will also test your visual memory by embarking on a virtual road trip with a website scavenger hunt. The Road Less Traveled: Let the Policy Manual Be Your GPS Need direction in terms of NLC Administration, Licensure, Nursys, Discipline or Compliance? If you answered yes, look no further than this session. Policy Committee members will showcase the existing NLC policy manual, highlight existing policies and review newly added policies.

So I'd like to ask you again just on when we'll publish the next RN practice analysis and the next RN test plan. - Yes, as I mentioned, practice analysis is the starting point for the exam development. We just conducted the 2024 RN and PM practice analysis. The reports will be published on the NCSBN website in April 2025. So make sure you check that out. And based on the data from the practice analysis, we will re-evaluate the test plan. And the new test plan will be published at NCSBN website in January 2026, which will be effective in April 2026.

This is the magic question I know that many of us get asked quite a bit. The changes to the exam. Will they take effect this next April? And is there a more specific date? - [Nicole] Yes, we do get asked that question quite a bit. I believe on our website, the date that we had originally mentioned, as you just pointed out, is April of '23. Email encryption, we have utilized for protecting personally identifiable information or any other information you would like to protect. And then also retention, which includes SharePoint or OneDrive retention, email retention, and Teams retention. So I spoke a little bit about the website before. We are currently going through a redesign. It will be on a content management system, and we will be putting it on a hosted platform. We kind of look forward to having this website out there so that it cannot be affected by any more outages at the board.

When a nurse is disciplined, the board may report discipline to other boards, or nursing agencies, or authorities. So, that means that we could report it to maybe the Department of Health Services, if it was appropriate, certainly Medicare, the OIG, whatever parties need to be informed. We might consider posting that discipline on the board's website, if appropriate. Certainly, it'll be on NCSBN's website, but you may want to post on your own board's website, and reporting it to other agencies, which may affect their ability to practice which we'll talk about here in a minute. Also, this discipline may affect their ability to secure employment.
