Site visitors often tour the clinical agency, although this depends on the individual jurisdiction. The initial site visit is with the program dean or director, and this sets the tone for the visit. This meeting covers changes in the program since the last visit, any upcoming changes, a general description of the facilities and financial resources, and issues to be raised with the administrator of the parent institution.

ANA ISSUE BRIEF 2018 - The Opioid Epidemic: The Evolving Role of Nursing
Site: ncsbn.org
Opioid Epidemic. Safe Storage of Prescription Opioids The CDC encourages patients to store medications out of children’s reach and sight and lock the safety cap consistently after each use (CDC, 2016b). Family members and house guests should also store medicines in a locked cabinet or lockbox between doses to prevent unintended use. The Safe Homes Coalition (SHC) advises keeping medications in original containers and avoiding mixing medications into one bottle (SHC, 2017).

But we visited Arizona before we totally designed our system. I suggest you go visit another state and see how they're doing it, learn from their mistakes. But we went to Arizona and in their discipline module, they added this little box that it was discipline information, totally configurable. And we put in ours all the little dates that we want to track a case. ©2022 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc.

All rights reserved. 2 And I think us where the sort of remote proctoring jump fell through a bit. I understand why it needed to happen, but what I said to you was we needed to start looking at it. And so I want to start a little bit different and talk about paradigms. Paradigms, which roughly means perception or a frame of reference.

"Did you find advantages that might lead you retaining virtual visits, post-pandemic?" - You know, I was just talking about that yesterday, because I was on a virtual accreditation visit and was talking with the team chair. And one of the things we talked about was there is a lot of time spent in going to actual clinical sites. And the time and really the disruption to students, to staff, is that better served by interviewing the key contact person at the clinical site, which is what we did for our initial program approval, and have really better input and answers about the experience in a very nonintrusive manner.
