While the activity statements are used to develop the test plan, the KSA statements are used to assist in generating item writing. The results from each practice analysis and KSA survey are available to the public for free and can be downloaded on our website . The NCLEX Test Plan. Both the RN and PN Test Plans serve as blueprints to outline the content to be tested and guide the item writing process. They are updated every three years to reflect fair, comprehensive, current, and entry-level nursing competency.
