Characteristics of Disciplined Nurses For the current study, personal records of the dis- ciplined nurses were pulled to identify patterns of characteristics of disciplined nurses. Few disci- plined nurses reported having any mental illnesses before probation (13.1%) or having received any nondisciplinary actions (3.8%) prior to the 2001 pro- bation. Almost 26% (25.9%) of the disciplined nurses changed their home address and 20.9% changed employers during the probation period. For the majority of the disciplined nurses (82.9%), the disci- plinary actions were taken by their original state of license. Table 4 summarizes the findings.

The survey revealed that over half (54.1 percent) of responding RNs now provide nurse services using telehealth technologies. In the current study, 45.7 percent provided these services across a state border, compared to 39.4 percent in 2015, an increase of 6.3 percentage points. 11.1 percent of respondents reported providing remote services to patients or clients across national borders, which is an increase of 3.4 percentage points when compared to 2015 (7.7 percent). LPNs/LVNs provide nursing services using telehealth technologies in equal proportions to RNs (54.1 percent).

T. 43, Ch. 26 and consistent with the Governor’s Executive Order for a State of Emergency, the Georgia Board of Nursing authorizes staff to assess applications for temporary permits and to issue temporary permits to licensed practical nurses, registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses who have an active, unencumbered license in any other U.S. jurisdiction who are entering into the state to respond to the declared emergency.

A closed program may submit a new proposal after one year has passed. Pass rates for all VN and RN programs are presented to the TXBON at the April board meeting, and any changes in approval are formal. At the April 2023 board meeting, the TXBON accepted the 2022 pass rates and 26 programs received a requirement to develop a SSR according to the Education Guideline and submit it to TXBON staff no later than July 15, 2023. The 26 programs included 10 BSN programs, 10 ADN programs and six VN programs. Following SSR reviews by the education consultants, a final compara- tive analysis revealed some key points and common themes through- out the reports.
