FY21 Accomplishments • There were 24 documents/articles that met the inclusion criteria for analysis and were collected for the literature review. • Team members were asked questions to get their insight on the process that should be followed to deliver the proposed product, examples of innovative approaches currently being used in healthcare or other disciplines related to continued competence, and the role of soft skills in continued competence assurance Future Activities • Objective 11 was cancelled therefore further work on it has been suspended.

    The Model Education Rules (NCSBN, 2004a) give an overview of the documentation that is generally required. Each board of nursing differs as to when the program should submit written materials. One jurisdiction may ask for submission of the self-study prior to the visit, although others may ask for documentation at the time of the site visit. Other boards may ask for a combination of pre-visit and on-site document review. Boards may request materials pertaining to the organization and administration of the nursing program.
