NCSBN ID: • The only UNI number assigned to every U.S. nurse and approved by the Alliance for Nursing Informatics (ANI). • Will never expire or be assigned to another nurse. • Facilitates interoperability across systems. • The easiest way to look up a nurse in any nurse database. • Assigned when a nurse obtains their first license (RN or LPN/VN) and does not change if the nurse is licensed in other states or as an APRN.
