The practice of nursing in a party state under a multistate licensure privilege will subject a nurse to the jurisdiction of the licensing board, the courts and the laws of the party state in which the client is located at the time service is provided. https://www.ncsbn.org/NLC_Final_050415.pdf One Example from California “A California RN license is required for in-state or out-of-state RNs to perform telephone medical advice services to California addresses. It is incumbent upon the RN to be knowledgeable and competent in the practice when offering telephonic assessment, evaluation, referral, or advice to patients or their family members.”
