Relatively little had been known prior to 2020 regarding the comparability of remote proctoring to in-person proctoring. The Power of Paradigms Paradigm is a Greek word, which roughly means a “perception” or a “frame of reference.” The simple way to understand paradigms is to view them as maps. Pygmalion Effect: Self-Fulfilling Prophecy • We must look at the lens through which we see the world as well as the world we see. • We must realize that the lens itself shapes how we interpret the world in which we live.

Discover how program approval supports licensure mobility and national accreditation requirements. Licensure in nursing is a two-pronged system. In order for nursing graduates to be eligible to take the NCLEX, the U.S. nursing regulatory model dictates that the new nurse must show evidence of graduating from a nursing regulatory body that is an approved nursing program. By making students eligible to take the NCLEX, nursing faculty verify that nursing students are clinically competent to safely practice nursing.
