Recommended Actions The NCSBN ID is a unique nurse identifier (UNI) assigned to every nurse upon initial licensure with any U.S. board of nursing (BON). It’s the only UNI for all U.S. nurses and allows concise communication among systems while still protecting a nurse’s personal identifiable information (PII).

I.3. Remote Proctoring Phil Dickison provided an update on progress regarding developments in addressing the gaps in the current generation of remote proctoring products. The project is running to schedule and within resources. A presentation to members will be made at the upcoming mid-year meeting. J.1. Nursys Nurse License Verification Participation – California Board of Registered Nursing Nur Rajwany, Chief Information Officer provided a verbal update on the status of the California Board of Registered Nursing’s participation in Nursys.

Discussion: Staff presented the consent agenda for the committee’s approval. The committee was given the opportunity to remove any of the consent reports for the business agenda discussion. Decision: After review of the report, the committee approved the consent agenda. #5 AGENDA ITEM: Approve Agenda GOAL: To provide a historical record that the committee formally approved the agenda. Discussion: A quorum was established, and the agenda was discussed. Decision: The committee approved the agenda for the January 22, 2025, NEC meeting as presented. #6 AGENDA ITEM: Approve FY25 October Meeting Minutes GOAL: To provide a historical record of the NEC meetings, conference calls and virtual Teams meetings.

Going beyond the mainstream, he offers inventive and innovative solutions. To this end, Douglas identified a need for regulators to have a well-defined direction to navigate an evolving landscape. His action plan for the organization sparked a change that empowers all staff to make consistent, principled choices to meet the needs of diverse communities. Douglas also championed an expedited registration and licensure model for nurses, streamlining the process for international nurses, and was recently appointed CEO and registrar of the college.

She ensures her staff members have the appropriate knowledge and expertise to effectively perform their duties. Her staff is also actively involved in a state committee that works to decrease prescription drug abuse. Kim's exemplary work and service was recognized in 2014 by The Journal Record as one of 50 women making a difference in the state. Also in 2014, she was named one of the great 100 nurses in Oklahoma.
