The Issue Substance Use Disorder encompasses a pattern of behaviors that range from misuse to dependency or addiction, whether it is alcohol, legal drugs or illegal drugs. Opioid use has reached epidemic proportions in the United States. Currently, more people die from fatal drug overdoses than motor vehicles. Who is Affected? Substance Use Disorder can affect anyone regardless of age, occupation, economic circumstances, ethnic background or gender. It is a progressive and chronic disease, but also one that can be successfully treated.

It was also discovered that there appeared to be a debate between the complainant and the nurse on the blog over local issues. These debates and disagreements resulted in the other blogger filing a complaint against the nurse. A check of the newspaper website confirmed that the nurse appeared to write affectionately about the handicapped child to whom she provided care. In addition to making notes about her “little handicapper,” there were also comments about a wheelchair and about the child’s age. The comments were not meant to be offensive, but did provide personal information about the client.

And so there are some slides, but then at the back of the handouts is Washington's tool. And so, again, Paula's focus and Washington's focus is by using these types of tools that your decisions will score, take a bite of candy, right, will score objective and consistent and fair. And I think that's when you look at some of the cases that get overturned at the appellate level, it is often because there wasn't quite that level of objectivity, and you decided a similar case a very different way, and so it doesn't look quite so fair then.
