Compared to entry-level RNs, entry-level LPNs/LVNs are more likely to hold more than one position. The data reflected that on average, 79% of entry-level LPNs/LVNs hold 1 position, while 19% hold 2, and approximately 3% hold 3 or more nurse positions. Additionally, the sessions reflected themes where participants perceived a lack of entry-level nurse professionalism, increased clinical demands, and a need for entry-level nurse clinical judgment to support patient safety.
