It really gives the candidate an opportunity to demonstrate their ability on clinical judgment, and so for that reason, all these elements are scored with the zero one scoring rule. We don't prohibit or penalize candidates if they don't get a potential condition.

    However, there are two other possible configurations of the unscored. Now here's an example where of the 15 unscored items, where 6 of them will be taken up by a case study and the remaining 9 will be the standalone items. And here's an example where 12 of the items are dedicated 2 case studies and only 3 standalone items. Each candidate will randomly get one of these three examples. And so then at the completion of the minimum length exam, all responses up until that point will be used to generate a score for the candidate.

And I don't think there's anything we can really do about that.
