North Carolina Licensed out-of-state nurses who would like to volunteer to help North Carolina disaster victims can find information on how to help on the North Carolina Board of Nursing's website . Nurses holding an active, unrestricted single-state license in any jurisdiction can practice in North Carolina by applying for a free, temporary emergency license. Waivers for LPNs, RNs, Nurse Practitioners and Certified Nurse Midwives have been implemented.     And of those 276, 61 are in the process of enrolling or completing KSTAR, and we had a total of 189 nurses successfully complete KSTAR, and of those 26 nurses were referred back to the Board for unsuccessful completion, 26 of the 276. And then there have been 8 nurses of the 284 ratified orders who, for whatever reason, failed to enroll in the program as required by the order within 45 days of order ratification.
