Now, one of the unique things I think about the Washington Medical Commission is that I have clinical investigators who investigate standard of care cases, and I have non-clinical investigators that do the sex, drugs, and rock and roll complaints. And our clinical investigators are doctors, PAs, ARMPs, and RNs. So that's kind of a unique situation. My legal unit processes about 80 legal actions a year and we have about 190 licensees on compliance in https://www.ncsbn.org/13303.htm ©2019 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc.

NCLEX Online, I'm going to say, really has two headlines to the world, but a third headline very specific to this audience. So when we talk about NCLEX Online, we're talking about expanding access. That's the big headline. If you think about how the NCLEX works today, well, candidates go to brick-and-mortar testing sites. There's a proctor kind of behind glass who has a nice view of everybody in the room. https://www.ncsbn.org/past-event/2024-ncsbn-it-operations-conference ©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. Again, I would emphasize with that last bullet point that a lot of what we're dealing with involves questions coming up in the minds of other people, supervisors, coworkers, patients, family members, or the patients themselves, about where is this person coming from? Most people, all people, are engaging non-consciously at all times in a process of sort of forming an understanding of who the person is that they're interacting with. And when a provider is acting in ways that are inconsistent with their professional role, questions will start to rise in people's minds about, what's wrong with this person?

-based and international telehealth associations, including the American Telehealth Association, and the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth to facilitate both stages of the study. For the document analysis, which is to your left, that little box, 32 nursing telehealth job advertisements from 25 different telehealth employers were identified and reviewed, all of them dating between May 2021 and February 2022. These job listings were analyzed systematically. ©2023 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. But just want to highlight that Utah, just like Alabama, just like Wisconsin, are all looking at this RN experience hour requirement, whether it be through regulation, through statute, as a licensure requirement, or in the case of Wisconsin, as a requirement in order to have independent practice. Next, we're going to be talking about New Jersey, and we're going to be talking about COVID-19 era waivers, which may make you think that we are recording this way back in 2020-2021. But no, it ...

There is no delay for licensure, enabling nurses to work immediately, and the nurse must practice according to the scope of practice in the state where the patient is located. Compact licensure greatly enhanced telehealth practice, which increased access to care during the pandemic and beyond. In 2021 Delaware became the second state to pass Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Compact legislation. A companion bill also passed which granted APRNs full practice authority. So far, three states have passed the APRN Compact, 2 and four more are needed to implement compact licensure for APRNs.

I mean, I had one in D.C. that was radically different from the one in medicine. It's all about what's unique and important to your board. But again, generally four tiers. Priority 1, Imminent Risk. So this is patients are in danger today. This is kind of your summary suspension stuff. Priority 2, these are your Serious Non-Imminent Threats. You know, your doctor. The doctor is a serious threat to continued practicing, but he's voluntarily agreed to forego practice, or the hospital's taking them out of surgery, or they're still a serious threat, but they're no longer an imminent threat.
