More information about how NGN items are scored can be found on ncsbn.org in the Next Generation NCLEX article on scoring models published in summer of 2021. "Will all items, both traditional and clinical judgment items, provide the candidate with normal reference ranges?" Beginning with the launch of the Next Generation NCLEX, items that contained a numeric laboratory value will include the corresponding normal reference range.

In total, there were 8,453 APRNs who participated in at least one survey. It was designed to determine the interest in and concerns about the current APRN Compact from the viewpoints of APRNs.

After the discipline case is saved, Nursys will send an automatic discipline speed memo to all states where the nurse currently holds or previously held a license. You can also select Additional Jurisdictions to receive the automatic discipline speed memo if needed. Add comments to the non-reportable case summary details if your board has comments to add to the case. These comments are only viewable by your jurisdiction. Once all required fields are complete, click the Save button. Your discipline case will then be added to Nursys. The case may be reviewed and printed from the Discipline tab.

The notion that, on reflection, or after the fact, that there was some evidence to say that colleagues had identified concerns with the practitioner, not so much that they had identified intentional harm being done, although there were cases of that, it was more that there was sort of a sense of disease around somebody's conduct, or their practice, falsifying records, things of that nature, being protective of their practice. And also the notion of then moving between employment sites, whether it's in the facility or across jurisdictions or within the jurisdiction itself, lending itself to the idea that, once there is growing attention to something, that the practitioner would have the opportunity to move from that area and perhaps their crime's covered.

We also have to consider where we're going to look. Is it only going to be publicly available social media sites, or is it going to extend to private chat, such as the ones that the Dalhousie dental students were using, or what about Mr. Gjini? And how are we going to evaluate the information that we find? Now, presumably, we can do better than the authors of that terrible paper on professionalism in vascular surgery residents.
