The BON is available for assistance with statewide issues (e.g., the nursing shortage in that state); BONs retain the ability to make emergency visits to schools of nursing, if requested to do so by a party reporting serious problems; and the BON has the authority to close a school of nursing, either on the advice of national nursing accreditors or after making an emergency visit with evidence that the school of nursing is causing harm to the public. Initial approval processes are conducted before accreditation takes place. 4. Accept national nursing accreditation as meeting BON approval with further documentation (eight BONs).

Since 2005, the TUNING project has also been extended to the Latin American continent, from which institutions in a further 18 countries also joined the process . The focus of the TUNING project is not on the various educational systems of countries, but on the educational struc- tures and content of educational programs . Across all the participating countries, the project aims at identifying reference points for generic and subject-specific competences for both first (Bachelor) and second (Master) cycle graduates in a series of subject areas . In order to be able to understand individual curricula and make them comparable, a methodology has been designed according to which com- mon reference points could be identified .

So students can create cognitive linkages between data points and concepts, which help them with later retrieval of the information. It helps them categorize information and decide on the logical flow of data points. For example, they can learn how diarrhea leads to dehydration, which might have led to the patient's low blood pressure.

What information does the nurse superseed with the next step of the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model's decision making? So, for example, with the a case study, what cues would be important to include? Also, when you are developing these evaluation tools, create stopping points. Stopping points help you, the instructor, identify where a student could have gone wrong in their thinking. It also helps students raise their awareness that there are separate different skills involved in your decision-making. So maybe they didn't come up with the right answer, but maybe a few of the steps in the decision-making were solid.

It's part of our test of time. And again, to do that…so one of the things we've tried to do, I mentioned at the end of the last talk, and we want to probably do more of this, is to make it so that patients automatically get a callback from an urgent care visit and say, "How is that sore throat? How is that headache? And you know, if it's not better, press 1." And then they'll speak to me or the nurse practitioner. And so not only does it create a safety net for the patient, but it also it's a learning system.

And then I thought I had a second computer adaptive testing question for you, but it looks like it's actually for Will because it concerns scoring. Will, does the computer adaptive testing algorithm do anything special if someone is responding to a plus minus scored item and they actually get negative points? They get less than zero? - No. So if anyone fails to earn any points or they get negative points, all scores are truncated at zero.
