According to a study conducted by CaMLA, the MELAB passing standards recommended by the stan- dard setting panel are comparable to the NCSBN-endorsed TOEFL passing standards. NCSBN recommended an overall cut score of 560 on the TOEFL PBT, 220 on the TOEFL CBT and 84 on the TOEFL iBT. A minimum speaking score of 26 was advised on the TOEFL iBT. The findings from the study suggest that the NCSBN recommendations on the PBT, iBT and CBT all fall within the same score range. As shown in Ta- ble 4, the score range corresponds to a MELAB score range of 78-81. It's part of our test of time. And again, to do that…so one of the things we've tried to do, I mentioned at the end of the last talk, and we want to probably do more of this, is to make it so that patients automatically get a callback from an urgent care visit and say, "How is that sore throat? How is that headache? And you know, if it's not better, press 1." And then they'll speak to me or the nurse practitioner. And so not only does it create a safety net for the patient, but it also it's a learning system.

Associate degree nursing education was my primary employment and I was recruited to assist with the on-site approval visits to nursing education programs in our state. But we agree that if we go as a collective group with them that we would have the strength in numbers and have them seated at the table with us. The characteristics of the right people? Oh, should we engage other entities? The answer to this from our group was no. However, they may serve as resources at certain points in the discussion. And the characteristics of the right people, researchers, staff that enter data into the database, individuals that have experience with quality and performance improvement, individuals that are open-minded and someone also suggested people at the complaint intake department.
