    While many are registered with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the graduates are not subject to a separate licensure process under the Professional Regulation Commission, unlike the general nurses who wish to practice there. Many of these programs are designed specifically to prepare practical nurses for the U.S., touting the preparedness of their students for the NCLEX examinations. The limited oversight and regulation of these programs have raised concerns.

    In fact, there is no evidence that patients who rate their doctors highly have better health outcomes, and in fact, this one data point shows that patients who rate doctors more highly are more likely to take prescription meds, more likely to show up in the emergency room, and more likely to die even when controlling for severity of illness. What patient rating satisfaction probably does a pretty good job with is, "How was the parking and how was the wait time?" But there's no evidence that it improves patient outcomes. And this is really significant because professional advancement in many institutions is directly tied to patient rating satisfaction surveys.

And here's a separate dataset where we collected data from 31 hospitals in the state of Michigan. This is 829 work settings and it's about 17,000 people. And here, we found an ICC for burnout of 0.26. Let me say what that means. Basically, 26% of your burnout, if you work in one of these hospitals in Michigan, 26% of your burnout is predicted by who you work with.
