And then finally, there's reference to the use of AI, and how it could potentially undermine the right to work. Could you move to the next slide, please, Anna? So in our research, as well as developing and testing the prototype, we also, as Anna suggested, conducted focus groups with colleagues from our three sites. And we explored with them what they saw as the benefits and burdens of using AI. And you'll see on the slide the three main themes that were raised here. Award-winning research from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) supports regulatory decisions for patient safety and public protection. Policymakers, program administrators, and employers must identify and implement methods to improve working conditions to retain and recruit more nurses for education, particularly among those employed in in-demand clinical practice specialty areas. The results from this study were published in the April 2024 issue of the Journal of Nursing Regulation. 2021-2023 APRN Compact Survey Report This is a compilation of surveys conducted by NCSBN in collaboration with five NRBs between 2021 and 2023. For more information about transition to practice visit www.ncsbn.org/transition-to-practice.htm. 35 Nurses must always be mindful of their responsibilities related to patient safety. Nurse Ann is disciplined in State A, a compact state, and placed on probation for two years. This is a real fact pattern, folks. I just left the states out of it. Two states issue cease and desist orders against Ann's privilege to practice, three party states suspend Ann's privilege to practice, I think there's about four non-party states suspend Ann's single-state license in their states. Here's the issue, Ann successfully completes the agreement with State A. Ann requests a multistate license in State A. Should Ann get a multistate license in State A? - [Woman 3] Based on [inaudible]. - Well, go back to the word encumbrance.
