The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Rooms will be paid for by the association beginning the night prior to the start date of the meeting through the night prior to the last day of the meeting, unless flight/travel accommodations necessitate an additional night’s stay to be determined by the CEO. All NCSBN participants at NCSBN sponsored meetings are required to stay in the contracted hotel. The NCSBN Meetings department must approve requests by NCSBN participants to stay at non-contracted hotels. 2.5 Penalties for air reservation changes or hotel no-show charges are the responsibility of the traveler. 2.6 Meals not offered during the meeting or meals purchased during travel to and from the Annual Meeting must be paid for by the individual and submitted to NCSBN for reimbursement.

Innovation is a necessity. NCSBN is exploring technology to improve how candidates take the NCLEX both inside and outside of traditional test centers. We do not have a timeline, we have a quality line," Dickison said. "When what we are exploring exceeds our high standard for quality, security and integrity, then we will launch and not until we reach that point. Our commitment to public protection is non-negotiable." NCSBN plans to share additional information as it becomes available. As development continues, Dickison's message is direct: "Don't believe anything unless you hear it from us." When a launch date is set, NCSBN will provide substantial advance notice and detailed information, including a demonstration of the testing experience so stakeholders can see firsthand how different it is from conventional remote exams.

Blood Alcohol (not the metabolites) will be positive for only 8 to 12 hours after significant ingestion of alcohol. AMPHETAMINES Amphetamine is a metabolite of methamphetamine, therefore positive amphetamine does NOT cause positive methamphetamine unless this was also ingested. Positive amphetamine can result from 2 common ADD drugs – Adderall and Vyvanse. However, Ritalin, phentermine and Provigil must be specifically ordered to be detected. Note: There is a non-mood altering legal type of methamphetamine found in some OTC products; usually nasal sprays. If there is a positive methamphetamine, the specimen can be rerun for isomeric differentiation.
