The current Model Act & Rules were updated by a NCSBN committee under a charge to perform ongoing review, revision, and development of Model Act & Rules to reflect the current regulatory environment and to remove any other language that does not support public safety. This work began in 2018 and was approved by the Delegate Assembly in 2021. And I'll say this is a big difference between the physician side of things and the nursing side of things. A good successor graduation rate for many nursing programs is 60%, all right? A good graduation rate for a physician's program is 80-plus percent. You know, one of the reasons is that those non-compliance issues are managed as part of a long-term disease management process within a physician health program where those non-compliance issues are frequently referred or kicked to the Nursing Board, which does what the Nursing Board does, all right?

Now, the former state needs to make theirs inactive. You don't continue on with two active multistate licenses. And Number 3, if a party state verifies that a licensee who holds a multistate changes primary state of residence to a non-compact state, that means you're going to convert the multistate license to a single- state license. And you're going to report that in Nursys.
