The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Logistics of the job posting will vary widely between NRBs. NCSBN also posts job vacancies on its website free of charge for states to obtain a broad candidate pool. Again, NRBs should check with their human resources and/or state personnel staff for policies specific to their NRB. So as Phil mentioned, that piece is a more paid program. But each candidate that is unsuccessful in the NCLEX, it also gives them that individual feedback on those various dimensions as well. - How can we get access to that information? - Nicole, will you talk to Joey and get her the website for that? So you have it today, okay? And then I don't know, I don't think it's on our website because it's not our business, it's secondary business, but we can get you the link to it. The other thing that I'll roll back to the last presentation and people ask, one of the member board council [SP] piece is to be able to let the states do that themselves.

Many of those documents that I'd refer to, that are on our website were multi-profession documents. So for example, the approaches that we took to, again, listening to the previous speaker talk about the changes in one state that they are making with respect to accreditation, we've been able to do that not just from...we've been able to do that from a national perspective, but also a multi-profession perspective.

“With this in mind, we are excited to announce creation of a Government Affairs Knowledge Network on the HIVE (NCSBN members only, login re- quired) for members,” notes Vice. “We recently launched this network in coordination with the rollout of the new NCSBN website. It contains a database of both occupa- tional licensing-focused articles, editorials and studies that we have been compiling. In this program, all prelicensure nursing schools (LPN/VN, ADN, diploma, BSN, accelerated BSN and Master’s entry) in the 35 participating states provide data to their nursing regulatory body (NRB) related to their demographics and their evidence-based quality indicators. Each survey question must be answered before the nursing program can advance to the next question to ensure comprehensive data.
