NLC Research Committee Work • Reviewed Prior NLC Research: Survey results of 2014 Nationwide Survey. • Committee Brainstorm to Identify NLC Research Needs and Questions. • Met with NLC Executive Committee and Maryann Alexander to receive direction and ideas for consideration. • Met with Brendan Martin and Elizabeth Zhong from NCSBN’s Research Team to receive an overview of NLC related research conducted to date. • Met with Rebecca Fotsch, Advocacy and Legislative Affairs to review research needs to aid in passing legislation.

It was a little costly, but it was more the organization of getting those boxes to us and returning them. And we had in our own database nurses without social security numbers because it's not required in our state so we had a little system where we gave them a number. And George can tell us why that's an issue. But that was a little problem for us that NCSBN helped us with was because they didn't have social security numbers. So our data is cleansed we're ready to go. So the migration for us, let me say again, that NCSBN team was always there for us always there. And I have lived through several go-lives of electronic medical records, so I had some angst about this.

That's that patient relationship, developing some type of relationship, having the specific assessment on that patient, be it in person or via telehealth, and executing the other things you need to do in order to ensure that patient needs that particular item that they have selected from your menu. >> Michelle: And just to add a little detail to your response, and going back to something you said earlier, in Mississippi that telehealth visit would count, but maybe in other jurisdictions in other states it doesn't. Just to clarify that you are speaking to Mississippi, just for our attendees. Eve already said that before. I just wanted to reiterate. Another question, how do you see this modality going forward, or possibly expanding?

Puente presented an informational report to advise of upcoming vacancies on the NLC Executive Committee. Committee terms are for two (2) years. The chair position is currently vacant. There will be two (2) member‐at‐ large positions vacant at the end of the fiscal year.

Say an RN who specializes in the treatment of children with cystic fibrosis engages in a friendship with the parent of one of her young patients. The friendship develops into a sexual relationship. Or an LPN who does home care returns to the home of a former patient ostensibly for a social visit, only to be found by a family member to be stealing the patient's opioid medication. Nurses like these know they are supposed to adhere to professional ethical principles like doing good or avoiding causing harm. Or they are supposed to demonstrate professional virtues, such as trustworthiness and honesty.
