The overall goal of the leadership development plan is to build leadership within and throughout the organization. The ultimate focus is a pool of available, diverse, and qualified candidates for election to the Leadership Succession Committee and the Board of Directors to meet the challenges of the future. At all times, your complaint will be taken very seriously. First, a determination is made as to whether or not the complaint indicates that the nurse violated existing laws or regulations that govern the nurse’s practice. Some things, even if proven true, may not meet grounds for discipline. For example, concerns about dress, appearance or person- ality are considered employer issues and not reportable to the BON. Sometimes the reported individual is not a nurse, so the BON is unable to take action because it does not have authority over that individual.

There will be recommendations for changes for the Board of Directors to consider in December before the Janyar 2025 launch. An earlier launch date would require a change to the Member Recognition Policy. A committee member commented that their Board has an internal team dedicated to forming internal and NCSBN nominations for her board.
