    You brought up the example of the FNP or the NP who was in the acute psychiatric practice setting. And when they're in a regular general practice setting, we get a lot of questions and related complaints where they may not be dealing with a complex. They'll call us and say, "This is a non-complex person. They've been treated for many years by the physician in the practice. They're out of town, I want to renew their medications. Am I out of my scope of practice?" And there's variations of that with every call. They're signing off on my notes.

    Obviously, it's never great to have your bill hijacked, but that's what happens. And it's my understanding that there's another bill filed with their language in it, so that's very, very good for them. One of the trends that I just wanted to point out and it deals with the opioid epidemic is that there are these non-opioid directive bills, many of you may have seen them in your state, and what it would allow is for a patient to sign a form that says that they do not want to be administered opioids or prescribed opioids during either the procedure or for their condition.
